This was my first MK bag, and I used my bonus this quarter and splurged on this bag because I loved the styling, color, and that it was lightweight for its size. I purchased it at the Michael Kors store in San Francisco about a month ago.After ~5 weeks of what I admit was relatively heavy use (I used it every day, traveled with it overseas, but babied it all along the way -- this was my splurge after all!), the leather is already starting to crack! Maybe it's because the leather is perforated or something, but it's not just in some places where you would expect it to wear first. The cracks are starting to show up pretty much and are the kind where the color is starting to flake off. If you look at it closely, they appear more in some places (i.e. the bottom and the near the folds on the sides), but are developing pretty much all over. Boo! I can't see this bag lasting more than a season, and c'mon... it hasn't even been two months! This is really disappointing for a bag of this price -- I'm extremely disappointed, and I thought Michael Kors would have used better materials and construction.

What a STUNNING Michael Kors Tote!!
I loved the purse but it just came in the shipping bag, no cover over the purse, If the shipping bag got damaged the purse would have been damaged also.

Michael Kors Gibson large shoulder tote handbag made from purple leather with single shoulder strap. Bag is finished with silver toned hardware, including MK charm keyring. Grey MK signature logo jacquard cloth lining.
What I love about this bag:-Lots of inside pockets on both sides as well as 4 external pockets, 2 in the front 2 in the back that you can't really see well from the pictures online.... makes it great for organizing your stuff.-This bag is quite large, easily holds everything I need, could easily fit a compact umbrella or 24oz soda along with other purse accessories.-Purse fits easily over shoulder & the leather hangs nicely.-There is a magnetic closure on the inside and then a magnetic flap that goes over the top - the flap that goes over the top does not fit/click very well, but it doesn't really need to since there is a hidden inside closure too.-Soft high quality leather that doesn't appear to "bleed" it's purple color onto clothes or other surfaces-"Classic" type style that is not too trendy so I won't be sick of it in 6 monthsNot so great:-Price - kind of high, I was able to snag it on Endless.com when it went on sale down to $292

This purse I owned for exactly one week and the finish started showing wear. I am very careful with my purses but still it didn't matter. I believe it has a material flaw. I had the black color purse. Every area that had any stress from bending had developed white spots like the color was coming off. Returned it and sorry because I really loved the look of it.
